In a historic first for Australian motorsport, the 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour will feature a live drifting exhibition at Mount Panorama, headlined by international drifting star Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni, as part of a special activation delivered by Scuderia Autoart, with the support of ST Suspension and Monster Energy.
Titled Scuderia Autoart DRIFT DEMO feat. Baggsy, the activation marks the first time a professional drift car and driver will take to the Mount Panorama circuit at the Bathurst 12 Hour, introducing an entirely new form of on-track entertainment to one of the world’s most respected endurance racing events.
Flying in from the UK and specifically for the Bathurst weekend, Baggsy will bring his iconic drift car, a 1,200 BHP Nissan R35 GT-R, to the Mountain, a drift machine renowned for its extreme performance. Fans will not only see the vehicle on display but also witness live on-track moments, including a high-profile hot lap and drifting performance executed in his signature style.
The international appearance and on-track activation have been made possible through the combined support of Scuderia Autoart, ST Suspension and Monster Energy. The performances will take place during Friday and Saturday of the event, creating multiple opportunities for spectators to experience the action on track.
“Bathurst has always been one of the most electric weekends on the motorsport calendar. I’ve been coming here for decades and I know how much the day already delivers for fans — so the challenge was asking, what can we add that feels exciting, respectful, and genuinely different. Bringing drifting to the Mountain, and doing it with one of the best in the world, felt like the right way to elevate that experience. It’s something the Bathurst 12 Hour hasn’t seen before, and I’m incredibly excited to share it with the crowd this year.” – Alessio Iera, Director, Scuderia Autoart
As a major sponsor of the Bathurst 12 Hour, Scuderia Autoart has leveraged its global network, industry relationships and investment to deliver the activation, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to motorsport culture, innovation and fan engagement.
Baggsy’s car will be stationed throughout the weekend at the Scuderia Autoart Chill Zone - Scuderia Autoart’s dedicated social and community precinct, offering fans unprecedented proximity to both the car and the driver behind one of the most anticipated moments of the weekend.
The introduction of drifting to the Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama represents a significant evolution in how fans experience the event, blending traditional endurance racing with contemporary performance culture in a way that respects the circuit’s heritage while introducing something entirely new.
The Scuderia Autoart DRIFT DEMO feat. Baggsy reflects a broader objective: to enhance the Bathurst experience through meaningful, high-impact moments that celebrate performance, creativity and community.
Added Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Event Director, Shane Rudzis: “Scuderia Autoart continue to demonstrate an incredible understanding of what makes the Bathurst 12 Hour special, and their commitment to working hand-in-hand with us has allowed the event to keep evolving in ways that genuinely excite our fans. The introduction of Scuderia Autoart Drift Demo featuring Baggsy is a perfect example of that shared vision. It’s bold, it’s innovative, and it brings an entirely new layer of performance culture to Mount Panorama while still respecting the heritage of the event.
"Their addition of the Scuderia Autoart Chill Zone also creates a welcoming hub for our community, giving fans the chance to see some cool things off-track while recharging with food and beverages. We’re thrilled to partner with Scuderia Autoart on these new initiatives, and we’re confident they will elevate the fan experience in a way we’ve never seen before at the Bathurst 12 Hour.”
Steve “Baggsy” Biagioni said, "Getting the chance to drift my Nissan GTR on Mount Panorama is genuinely a dream come true. Bathurst is one of the most iconic circuits in the world, and to bring a purpose built 1,200 horsepower GTR — a car I’ve poured years of development, engineering and passion into — to a place with this kind of history is something incredibly special.
"This GTR, was built to push limits, and showcasing it on a legendary track like the Mountain is an opportunity I never thought I’d get in my career. Scuderia Autoart and the Bathurst 12 Hour team have embraced drifting in a way that shows they understand both the culture and the excitement it can bring to fans. I can’t wait to light up the tyres in front of the Bathurst crowd and share a moment that’s going to be unforgettable for all of us.”
