Blacker, greener and meaner - Scott Taylor Motorsport has taken the covers off its Mercedes-AMG GT3 contender for the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama on February 13-15.
Featuring STM’s traditional green and matte black finish, the #222 will be driven by an all-star line-up of Australian Supercars heroes including reigning Repco Supercars Champion Chaz Mostert and Tickford Racing duo Cameron Waters and Thomas Randle.
STM has also recruited renowned team owner, manager and engineer Barry Ryan to the squad to manage the team's preparation and execution at the once-around-the-clock endurance race.
Ryan is no stranger to success at Mount Panorama or the 12 Hour. He led Erebus Motorsport's Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 to victory in 2013 – the team's first major victory in Australia.
Now the CEO of Erebus, Ryan has also claimed a Bathurst 1000 win (2017) and a Supercars Championship (2023).
STM's Pro class entry will again feature prominent support for the event’s official charity, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. It’s the fifth-straight year that the STM 12 Hour car has supported the charity, and the third since the event itself made the foundation its charity partner.

Fans at the track and at home will be able to support the cause by making a donation and have their name on a Virtual Car. Donate and join the fight against prostate cancer via this link >> pcfa.org.au/bathurst12hr.
Long-time motorsport backer Palm Trans has also joined the team’s efforts, and Cam Waters’ own whisky brand will ride prominently on the doors of the #222 Mercedes.
And for the second-straight year, Taylor’s own companions Maddox and Indigo will adorn the rear quarter panels – a nod to his two family dogs.
The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour marks STM’s eighth crack at the race, and the team is leaving no stone unturned in its quest for outright victory.
The team, run in conjunction with Ashley Seward Motorsport, will test its Mercedes-AMG at Sydney Motorsport Park this week – its final hit out before the running of the 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama on February 13-15.
And while team owner Scott Taylor will have his focus on his team’s progress in the main race, he will also keep his own racing skills sharp in the Combined Sedans support race, competing in his popular Porsche 911 GT3-R.
The Combined Sedans will feature two qualifying sessions and a race on Friday, followed by two more races on Saturday.
STM’s Bathurst 12 Hour drivers will enjoy three practice sessions on Friday, two more practice sessions and qualifying on Saturday ahead of the once-around-the-clock battle on Sunday, starting at 5:45am AEDT.
Race fans in Australia can watch live on Foxtel and Kayo, while international viewers can catch all of the action on GT World’s YouTube channel.
Scott Taylor
“We couldn’t be happier with our preparation for the Bathurst 12 Hour and we can’t wait to get stuck into it,” said Taylor.
“Our car has kept a traditional STM look and feel, with a few tweaks that I know the fans on the mountain will love.
“But we all know, the best looking race cars are the ones that win, and that is our sole aim. We’ve come close before. We’ve also missed the mark in the past too, but I can safely say that this is the best preparation that we’ve ever undertaken in the build up to the race.
“The car is going to be on the money, our drivers are proven and the crew that we have assembled rivals any international effort.
"It's also great that we will have the experience and knowledge of Barry Ryan with us for the 12 Hour to manage the operation.
"He has won this race before and knows how to get the most out of the people around him.
"The Supercars world is very competitive, so we really want to thank Tickford, Walkinshaw TWG and Erebus for allowing us to push aside the rivalries that exist in Supercars so we can have Australia's best compete against the world's best.
“I’m now just looking forward to getting there, enjoying the race, supporting a great cause with the Prostate Cancer Foundation and putting on a show for Australia and the world.”
Barry Ryan
“I was very excited to have Scott call me and ask me to be involved in this year's 12 Hour," said Ryan.
"Knowing that Ash and the ASM team are running the operation, and the calibre of drivers in the line up, I was happy to be part of trying to win Bathurst again.
“Scott’s passion and generosity towards Australian motorsport is hard to rival. Simply ‘doing things properly’ excites me, and his drive to win the Bathurst 12 Hour is unquestionable.
"Betty (Klimenko) was 100 percent supportive of me being involved, and I know I'm going to enjoy being on this journey with STM.
“Some may think that it's strange that we have such a mix of drivers and team people from different parts of Supercars all in the one garage, but as Scott says, we're taking our Supercars team hats off and trying to win the race as an all-Aussie effort.”
