Reckless Brewing announce Bathurst 12-Hour Beer

Independent Australian Brewery, Reckless Brewing Co., located in Bathurst, has this year teamed up with the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 hour to release a limited-edition beer so that all punters, whether at the top of the mountain or in their loungeroom, can enjoy the beer of Bathurst brewed just for this race!
Reckless Brewing Co. is one of Australia’s fastest growing and most awarded young breweries, located at the doorstep of Mount Panorama.
Reckless Brewing has partnered with the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour for the past two years, but this year have stepped up their support. This limited-edition can is strictly limited to only 90 cases, and once it’s gone, it’s gone!
BX Mid is an Australian Style light lager with light malt flavours and a subtle citrus hop finish.
It has been designed to be super crisp and easy to drink, but without any preservatives or pasteurisation, making it a delight to drink.
Reckless have only brewed 90 cases of this beer, so it’s expected to be snapped up quickly. Head to the Reckless website here to secure your piece of history, or if you join us at the Mountain this year, there will be a small amount available.
Founder, Jarrod Moore, explains the background; “I was actually introduced to Shane Rudzis through WAU’s Engineer, Adam Austin. We grew up together and Adam is the reason I became a car racing tragic, and to now be working together after we took such different career paths is awesome”
Event Director, Shane Rudzis adds: “I love the work Jarrod, Alice and Grace at Reckless Brewing are doing, and it’s so cool to see these guys smashing goals and going from strength to strength. Creating a limited-edition beer for the 12 Hour has been a goal of mine for several years, and it's great to see it in the flesh.
“This beer tastes bloody fantastic, and the can design looks unbelievably awesome. I’m so happy to have Reckless on board with us, and it makes our annual pilgrimage to Bathurst even better.”
Reckless Brewing is a proud local partner of the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, and this year has teamed up with local cider, wine and spirit providers to make this event the first event of its kind where the alcohol served at the events will come only from local producers.
Combined, Reckless Brewing, Bathurst Grange Distillery, Bunnamagoo Estate Wines and Hillbilly Cider are taking over the Pitlane rooftop bar, which will be open to all ticket holders for the duration of the event.
Reckless Brewing has been involved in motorsport sponsorship since 2021.
“We never intended on becoming a car racing aligned brand, but after picking Bathurst as our home and dabbling in some sponsorship, not only was it a dream come true, but the feedback from our local community and the car racing community was amazing.”
