Tsunami RT has confirmed its return to the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour in 2027, marking the team’s second appearance at the iconic Australian endurance race with its distinctive #79 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO.
The announcement follows the team’s debut at Mount Panorama in 2026, an edition that ended prematurely following a major incident at the top of the Mountain, ending their day after 192 laps.
The team was a host of first-time entries this year and became an immediate fan favourite thanks to their bright, multi-coloured livery that adorned their Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The team were the second to lodge their entry for the 2027 edition and are looking ahead to its return to one of the most demanding and prestigious events on the international GT racing calendar.
The team says the challenge of Mount Panorama, combined with the enthusiasm of the Australian fans and the unique atmosphere surrounding the event, has made the prospect of returning an important motivation for the team.
Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding its first appearance, Bathurst left a strong impression on Tsunami RT.
Tickets and Corporate Hospitality opportunities are on sale now.
Valerio M. Speziali, Team Principal of Tsunami RT:
“Our debut at the Bathurst 12 Hour marked the beginning of a new challenge in our endurance journey and the realisation of a dream.
“Unfortunately, our first experience did not end as we had hoped following the incident.
“With both drivers doing well, we are looking forward to returning to Bathurst and getting back to what we love most: racing.
“After completing our first season in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, I am happy to be returning to Bathurst with our car #79. Mount Panorama will undoubtedly be one of our first major challenges of the 2027 season.
“We are ready to take it on, and preparations are already well underway as we work hard to deliver a stronger performance and, of course, improve on last year's result.
“Mount Panorama is a legendary circuit and I am genuinely happy to bring the team back here, also thanks to Johannes Zelger.
“We know how demanding this challenge is: every lap requires the utmost concentration and respect for the circuit.
“As I said last year, we’re ready to make our first mark Down Under - now our second, but hopefully not our last!”
The team will confirm more information regarding their 2027 campaign, including their driver roster, closer to the event.
