On the eve of the 2023 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hours, SportsBet Audi has confirmed it will reunite the 2022 pole setting driver line-up for a second run at the title.

The exciting Pro-Am trio of Chaz Mostert, Fraser Ross, and Liam Talbot head to Mount Panorama this weekend, driving the Audi R8 LMS Evo II run by Melbourne Performance Centre.

The trio head to the mountain with support from SportsBet – this being their first involvement into Motorsport. The all-Australian line-up have all enjoyed significant success in GT competition, delivering a memorable performance at least year’s 12-hour weekend. Chaz, who includes a Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona victory among his list of race wins, has shown particularly strong pace at the Mountain in the past. Last year’s race saw the 30-year-old become the first driver to score two pole positions at the 12 Hour.

Fraser Ross brings extensive GT3 experience to the team, having raced – and won – in the Australian GT and GT World Challenge Australia championships over the past few seasons. The 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour silver class race winner heads back to Mount Panorama for a fourth time this year looking to add a further title.

Completing the line-up is 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour Am champion Liam Talbot who, alongside Fraser, has also enjoyed strong results at the wheel of the Audi R8. This included victory and a further podium during a one-off 2021 GT World Challenge Australia event at Bathurst, followed by a race win and 12 consecutive podiums throughout last season’s campaign to finish the season as runner-up.

The #65 SportsBet Audi entry heads to the Mountain backed by Scuderia Autoart, Sany, Yello Equipment.

Ahead of the race weekend, Fraser Ross, driver of the #65 SportsBet Audi R8 LMS Evo II explained:

“It is always great to be a part of the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, and I am really excited to be re-joining the boys again – to be heading back with the support of SportsBet is unreal.. The race continues to attract the biggest names in GT3 competition, and it remains one of the biggest challenges for driver and teams. We showed last year that we had a great package, taking pole position firmly in the mix in terms of pace, so we head back to the event looking to finish the job we started.

“It is great to have SportsBet, Scuderia Autoart, Sany and Yello Equipment joining us for the weekend, and a big thank you to them for their support in getting us on the grid. The field is as strong, if not stronger, than I can remember, but anything can happen on the Mountain so we will keep fighting to hopefully be on that top step by Sunday evening. Whatever happens, you can be sure it will be a great event.”

The 2023 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour takes place this weekend, with qualifying and the race being shown live and ad-break free on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports, with live, free-to-air coverage on the Seven Network and 7plus around Australia. It is also being streamed live through the SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.
