The 10-strong field that will duke it out for the Allan Simonsen Pole Award this afternoon has been decided following a frenetic hour of qualifying.
However, the star of the show was Aussie export Scott Andrews, who put the Pro-Am class Geyer Valmont Racing/Tigani Motorsport Mercedes into a shock provisional second.
Another star was Italian Marco Mapelli, who snuck the Bronze class Wall Racing Lamborghini into the tenth and final transfer spot to the Pirelli Pole Battle by just 0.0332s.
The remainder of the field is made up of Pro class competitors, with Broc Feeney (#64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang) and Jayden Ojeda (#6 Mercedes-AMG Team Tigani Motorsport) ensuring there will be three Supercars representatives.
Luca Stolz, Christopher Haase, Raffaele Marciello, Lucas Auer, and Matt Campbell complete the 10, all bringing significant international resumes to what will be a fierce pole battle.
Marciello (2019), Campbell (2020, and Auer (2025) are former winners of the Allan Simonsen Pole Position Trophy, whilst the remaining seven are all vying for their first 12 Hour pole.
The Pirelli Pole Battle begins at 4:15pm local time.
