Matt Stone Racing will field an entry in the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour including its Supercars drivers Nick Percat and Cameron Hill.

The new Supercars team-mates will join John Holinger in a brand-new MARC GT, competing in the Invitational Class.

This year’s Bathurst 12 Hour takes place over February 16-18, the weekend before the Supercars season kicks off, also at Mount Panorama (February 23-25).

With an eye on track time for Percat and Hill, MSR will run Holinger’s Mercedes-bodied MARC car, with the entry engineered by Jack Bellotti.

Bellotti has been a Race Engineer at MSR for more than five years, and will work with Percat in 2024, with the Bathurst 12 Hour kick-starting their pairing this season.

“When Round 1 of the Supercars season was announced to be at Bathurst the week after the 12 Hour, we knew it was going to be important to have a presence,” said Team Owner Matt Stone.

“We pushed hard to secure a drive for Nick and Cam at the 12 Hour, and were able to lock in an MSR entry with John Holinger.

“Given there are only two one-hour practice sessions for the Supercars event, that seat time for the drivers at the 12 Hour will make a big difference.

“Hopefully it means we can hit the ground running the following week.”

Percat has four prior Bathurst 12 Hour starts to his credit, including the 2020 event where he raced a MARC II entry with Broc Feeney and Aaron Cameron, winning the Invitational class.

Hill has a solo 12-Hour start under his belt, finishing third in the GT4 class in 2018, driving a BMW entered by Steven Richards Motorsport.

MSR will run the MARC car for the first time at Queensland Raceway on Thursday, January 25 as a pre-event test day.

The entry’s livery will be revealed in the lead up to the event.
