THIS is the first look at the brand new covered grandstand, located on pit straight for the first time at this year's Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

Just a handful of tickets remain for this prime location (Grandstand S10) which sits directly opposite the pit garages and a big screen (to be pit in place later this week) for prime viewing throughout he weekend, regardless of conditions.

Selected seats are also available in the Ivan Stibbard uncovered grandstand (S8) located next door.

Both grandstands are expected to sell out by the time practice commences on Friday morning, with fans urged to purchase now to avoid disappointment.

Tickets can still be purchased online, allowing fans to save when compared to gate prices.

Meanwhile, the first hardy campers have already set up in the paddock campground for a relaxing week in the stunning New South Wales' Central West region.

The paddock and McPhillamy Park campgrounds are sold out for the event this year, while limited sites remain in the Reid and Sulman campgrounds on the top of Mount Panorama. Again, fans can book online to save until 31 January.

Those trackside will enjoy what look to be almost perfect race-going conditions, with fine and partly cloudy weather forecast for much of the week.

Cool to mild evenings giving way to temperatures in the low-to-mid 20s across Friday, Saturday and Sunday will make for extremely pleasant trackside viewing - a huge contrast to the scorching temperatures experienced twelve months ago.

Trackside tickets for Sunday only - which include access to the paddock area and the huge array of off-track activities on show this weekend - are priced at just $46.
