ONE OF Mount Panorama’s most recognisable brands, Ford, will add their name to the 2022 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour.

The iconic marque, with an extensive global Motorsport portfolio that includes the Repco Supercars Championship, will take naming-rights sponsorship of Mountain Straight for the May 13-15 event, promoting the exciting next-generation Ford Ranger.

The latest Ranger model is due to hit Australian showrooms in Q3, 2022 and is set to continue the success of the current car – one of Australia’s top selling vehicles.

Ford vehicles will be on display to fans in the Harris Park merchandise area showcasing the current range, while the current Ford Ranger Raptor will be the official recovery vehicle of the event, ensuring efficient and safe recoveries as required throughout the 12-Hour and support category sessions.

The Ford Ranger Mountain Straight is a key element to every lap of the 6.2km Mount Panorama Circuit with the climb up towards Griffins Bend presenting one of the best overtaking opportunities on the circuit.

"Motorsport is in our DNA at Ford, like racing at Bathurst is in the DNA of Australia" said John Hatzimanolis, General Manager, Marketing Communications, Ford Australia.

"We've had a huge year so far, with the reveals of our Australian designed and engineered Next-Generation Ranger, Ranger Raptor and Everest models, alongside updated Ford Performance models including Fiesta ST, Focus ST and 2022 Mustang."

"We're very excited to support the Bathurst 12-Hour for the first time, and can't wait to see our Ford Ranger branding on track this weekend."

Ford entries have won the annual ‘Great Race’, the Repco Bathurst 1000, on 21 occasions however will this year add their support to Australia’s International enduro for the first time.

“Ford are an iconic Bathurst brand and it’s appropriate they join a host of renowned global brands that contest the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour each year,” Supercars / Bathurst 12 Hour Strategic Partnerships Manager.

“Having the display of current Ford showroom models on hand for Bathurst 12 Hour spectators to see will be a great addition to Harris Park.

“The Ford Ranger Raptor has already proven its worth when it comes to quick recoveries at Supercars Championship rounds and will no doubt do the same this weekend at Mount Panorama.”

The 2022 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour will be contested this weekend at Mount Panorama, Bathurst.

Action will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and the Seven Network on Saturday and Sunday, while tickets remain available for sale via Ticketek.
