Erebus Motorsport will throw its support behind the M-Motorsport Mercedes Benz GT3 entry for the upcoming 2024 Bathurst 12 Hour.
The event will be M-Motorsport team owner Justin McMillan's tenth attempt at conquering the iconic endurance race.
"With the support of Erebus and our M-Motorsport team, together with a new Mercedes GT3 and a formidable Pro-Am driver lineup, I am confident that we will be a strong contender for the Pro-Am this year. The Bathurst 12 Hour is undoubtedly one of the world's most demanding races and we have a lot of boxes to tick but I’m excited for what’s to come,” McMillan said.
Alongside McMillan is M-Motorsport Pro driver Glen Wood, a stalwart member of the team since 2015.
Wood brings a wealth of experience with multiple wins and poles in GT3, victory in the GT4 Bathurst 12 Hour in 2019, and a podium finish in the Silver Class (Audi R8) in last year's event.
“Glen has so much experience at this event and is an example of reliability and speed ideal for endurance,” McMillan said.
Adding further strength to the lineup is Garth Walden, owner of GWR Australia.
Walden, possessing a valuable bronze badge, demonstrated his speed and consistency during his debut with M-Motorsport at the Highlands 6 Hour in November 2023. Recognising his potential, the team swiftly enlisted him for the 12 Hour.
Completing the line up will be Erebus Supercar driver Jack Le Brocq, who also has a history of collaboration with McMillan and Wood.
Le Brocq was pivotal in helping M-Motorsport develop its Camaro back in 2015 while Wood was Le Brocq’s Number One mechanic and data engineer, taking out the Formula Ford title together in 2012.
"I’m super excited to be getting the band back together and attacking the Mountain in a current spec Mercedes GT3. I obviously spent some time in the SLS back in ‘13-’14 under the Erebus banner and to be back with Justin and Glen who I’ve shared some incredibly memorable times with is a huge honour.
“It’s also a great opportunity to get some early miles in before my 2024 Supercars campaign with Erebus gets underway at the Bathurst 500.”
The M-Motorsport / Erebus campaign for the Bathurst 12 Hour kicks off with testing at Phillip Island on January 30.
