A HUGE cross-section of Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour drivers will tackle the toughest double-act in global Sports Car racing this week.

Dubbed the Daytona-Bathurst 36, the next week not only encompasses the annual Bathurst classic but the traditional season-opener in the USA - the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

22 drivers will do double-duties, which for many includes leaving Daytona early on Monday morning following the 24-hour race and flying to Sydney; generally arriving Wednesday morning, Australian time.

While three drivers will race Prototypes in the DPi / LMP2 outright class, a majority of the 12-hour runners are in GT cars on the Daytona banking.

The list includes double 12-hour winner Chris Mies, former polesitter Laurens Vanthoor and podium finisher Jeroen Bleekemolen.

However it's not just drivers that will be involved in both events; several members of the broadcast team and members of the media also cover both.

You can follow the Rolex 24 at Daytona via coverage on IMSA Radio, led by Bathurst 12 hour caller John Hindhaugh.
