Corvette to make Bathurst debut in 2026

THE ICONIC Corvette nameplate is coming to Bathurst.
General Motors Australia and New Zealand, in conjunction with Corvette Racing, today announced that the Corvette Z06 GT3.R will compete in the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour event on 13-15 February 2026.
Australia’s International Enduro will mark the first time that the Corvette ZO6 GT3.R will compete at Mount Panorama and indeed on Australian soil, with team and driver details to be confirmed in due course.
The Corvette Z06 GT3.R is based on the road legal Corvette Z06 model – and is a purpose-built track only race car designed for global GT3 racing. Corvette Z06 GT3.R teams have scored key race victories around the world as well as championships in both IMSA and the European Le Mans Series this year.
“It’s incredibly exciting for us to welcome the Corvette Z06 GT3.R down under,” said GM ANZ Managing Director Jess Bala.
“Corvette has played a major part in the success of our GM Specialty Vehicles brand – and there will be many passionate Corvette enthusiasts who will love to see this ultimate version of the car debut on track at Bathurst in February."
"Bathurst is one of the most prestigious GT races in the world and it means a tremendous amount to me personally to be able to bring the program here,” said Jessica Dane, Corvette Racing Program Manager.
“The GT3 platform allows us to compete in global regions that we never have before, and I'm so excited to bring the Z06 GT3.R to our Australian and New Zealand fans for the first time at one of my all-time favourite events."
The highly anticipated debut of the Corvette at Mount Panorama comes after lengthy speculation surrounding the timing of a potential local debut for the car.
“The Meguair’s Bathurst 12 Hour welcomes the addition of the Corvette GT3.R, this is something the fans have been eagerly wanting to see for a long time,” said Bathurst 12 Hour Event Director Shane Rudzis.
“To have the Corvette competing against the European manufacturers, is going to make for a highly anticipated matchup come February”.
