GM Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) has confirmed a strictly limited MY26 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition, created to celebrate the debut of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour.

Built exclusively for Australia and New Zealand , just 12 units of the MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition will be produced, each individually numbered from 01 to 12 and finished in a highly customised configuration. This is the launch of MY26 Corvette Z06 , and the only allocation of this model that will be available in Australia and New Zealand this year.

The Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition builds on the track-focused 3LZ Coupe with Z07 Performance Package and is conceived as the road‑legal counterpart to the Corvette Z06 GT3.R race car that will contest the Bathurst 12 Hour for the first time in February 2026.

It follows the recent announcement of the MY26 Corvette Stingray and E-Ray range for Australia and New Zealand, which introduces a new three-screen, driver-centric cockpit and Chevrolet Connected Services to the local Corvette line-up.

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R is Chevrolet’s first purpose-built, track-only race car designed for global GT3 competition and is directly based on the roadgoing Corvette Z06. Its Bathurst debut will mark the first time a Corvette GT3.R has competed at the Bathurst 12 Hour race, and the Specialty Edition has been created to give an exclusive group of customers the closest possible road-going connection to that car.

“There has been huge enthusiasm for the news that the Corvette Z06 GT3.R is coming to Bathurst, and we wanted to capture that excitement in a car our customers can own and drive on the road,” said Jess Bala, Managing Director, General Motors Australia and New Zealand.

“The MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Special Edition is our most focused, most exclusive Corvette offering yet for this part of the world – and it will be the only way to secure a MY26 Z06 in Australia and New Zealand.”

Mayor of Bathurst Council, Cr Robert Taylor said, “As owner of the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit we’re excited to be involved in this project. The opportunity to have the Mount Panorama brand team up with General Motors for a special edition Corvette Z06 to celebrate their Bathurst 12 Hour debut was one not to be missed.

“It cements the importance of the circuit on the international stage and helps us to continue to grow our brand and reputation in the motorsport market alongside an internationally recognised company," added Taylor.

“This announcement also continues to build on the shared history of General Motors and the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, and we are proud to take this relationship into the future in a new and exciting venture.”

Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition pairs the Z07 Performance Package chassis and braking hardware with a specification that visually links to the GT3.R and the Mount Panorama Circuit.

The MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition joins the updated MY26 Corvette Stingray and E-Ray range, which introduces a new triple‑screen cockpit, enhanced cabin functionality and Chevrolet Connected Services, while retaining the mid‑mounted V8 performance that has made Corvette an icon.
