BRITISH GT outfit Brookspeed has targeted a return to the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour in 2020.

The Hampshire-based squad has advertised drives in their Mercedes-AMG GT4 that the team races in the British GT Championship and selected endurance events around the world.

After signaling their intent to compete in earlier events without ultimately succeeding in piecing together a program, Brookspeed entered a pair of Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsports in the 2017 race and ultimately finished a strong second and third in the GT4 class.

The all-British combination of Aaron Mason, David Drinkwater and Adrian Watt finished 24th outright and one spot behind the class-winning Porsche from German outfit ProSport Performance.

Experienced Australian long-distance racers Coleby Cowham, Lindsay Kearns and Ashley Jarvis combined in the second car to finish 27th outright and third in class, giving the team two spots on the podium.

The team was in the news recently with Sam Brabham, the son of sportscar champion David, making a racing return in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship at Thruxton driving a Brookspeed-prepared car.

Early-bird entries for the 2020 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour close this Saturday, 7 September, while general entries remain open until 21 December this year.
