THE ever-popular Battery World Aussie Racing Car series will re-join the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour support program this May 13-15.
A big field of pocket-rocket cars will hit the Mountain across the 12-Hour weekend for the fourth round of their newly-announced 2022 schedule.
A bonus of the 12-Hour's new May date will allow for several new Aussie Racing Cars competitors to ensure their licenses are up to specification for tackling the Mountain this year.
“ARC is a regular supporter of Australia’s premier GT Sports Car event, the Bathurst 12 Hour and there is no doubt that Bathurst will be another huge event for us," said Brad Ward, Aussie Racing Cars Category Manager.
"This year the category welcomes 5 new car owners and drivers and the revised May date for the event is great news as all of them can run rounds 1-3 of the series, get their licence upgrades and join us at Bathurst.
“The remainder of the series is run exclusively with Supercars. The category will make the traditional trip to Tasmania along with The Bend and Winton circuits which all of our competitors really enjoy.
“We’ve worked hard to secure a good mix of events for our competitors and fans and we are excited to be taking the category to Australia’s best events in 2022."
Further additions to the Bathurst 12 Hour support and on-track program will be announced in due course.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2022 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour, with Trackside tickets, Grandstand seats and VIP Parking available online now.
Camping sales will be available soon.
Australia’s International Enduro will commence the 2022 Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli schedule, to be followed by the Spa 24 Hours, the Indianapolis 8 Hour and the season-ending Kyalami 9 Hours in South Africa.
