Six manufacturers – the most since 2020 – will contest this year’s Intercontinental GT Challenge - of which the Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour is the opening round.

IGTC debutants Chevrolet and Ford join the existing roster of Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and reigning champions BMW for Season 11 of SRO’s globe-trotting GT3 series, which again features five events on four continents.

The first of them, the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, takes place in Australia on February 13-15 before Europe’s two 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps follow in May and June. Suzuka in Japan and Indianapolis in America complete the list of iconic venues over the second half of 2026.

Bathurst’s provisional entry list, which was issued just before Christmas, sets the tone for the most competitive IGTC season since the global pandemic.

24 of 32 GT3 class representatives are built by one of Intercontinental’s six manufacturers, while last year’s 12 Hour winners BMW, Team WRT, Kelvin van der Linde and Augusto Farfus all return.

As ever, all Intercontinental entries – regardless of class – remain eligible to score points at each event. Only a constructor’s two highest finishers can contribute towards the manufacturers’ standings, while drivers’ points are awarded per IGTC’s final top-10 classification.

The Independent Cup also returns in the same form as previous seasons, with Bronze-graded drivers who register for the competition permitted one drop score across IGTC’s five events. This year’s entrants will be revealed next week.

Abi Hay, Intercontinental GT Challenge Series Manager:

“Adding two more of the world’s biggest automotive manufacturers to a resurgent IGTC underlines the series’ significance within GT3’s global environment, whilst also emphasising the scale of Chevrolet and Ford’s customer racing ambitions around the world. They, just like Intercontinental’s long-established European constructors – BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche – can operate a manufacturer-supported programme via multiple regional customer teams at the world’s biggest GT3 events.”
