McCafé will fuel race fans at the 2023 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour thanks to an exciting new partnership with the event.

McDonald’s will establish a McCafé outlet in the famous Bathurst 12 Hour Cars and Caffeine area located in Harris Park, fuelling 12-Hour race goers with fresh barista made coffee throughout the February 3-5 event.

100% of all funds raised from coffees sold during the event period will go towards McDonald’s official charity partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Southern NSW and ACT.

RMHC Australia provides funds to support over 46,000 seriously ill or injured children and their families each year through vital support programs such as Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Rooms, Family Retreats and its national Learning Program.

Cars and Caffeine has become a staple of 12-Hour events with a wide array of stunning vehicles from likeminded enthusiasts gathering in Harris Park each year.

The event will return bigger and better than ever in 2023 alongside an expanded array of on and off-track activities for fans as the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour returns to its traditional February date, with more exciting announcements to follow soon.

The LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour is proudly supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

Shane Rudzis – Event Director, LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour

“Having such a well-recognised brand like McDonald’s partner with Australia’s International Enduro is a huge positive for the event.

“Caffeine is almost as important as the fuel in the race cars at the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour, so we’re proud to have partnered with McDonald’s and McCafé to keep our fans fuelled in 2023.

“The Cars and Caffeine area has become a must-visit part of the event and a great tradition at the 12 Hour, so to have McCafé included in that area will only make it better.

“Knowing that all proceeds will go towards supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities makes it even better.”

Diana Grosmann – Market Director for NSW and ACT, McDonald’s Australia

“McCafé has been serving up great quality, barista made coffee to Aussies since 1993, and last year, we introduced a delicious new blend of coffee, roasted locally in Melbourne.

“We are pleased to partner with the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour and provide much needed caffeine to fuel eventgoers while raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.”

About McCafé

McCafé is one of the largest coffee retailers in the country: one in every four coffees sold every day in Australia is from a McCafé. It’s one of our biggest local and global success stories, having first launched in Melbourne in 1993. In 2003 there were 100 McCafés around Australia. Now, there are more than 4,000 in 60 countries across the world and McCafe is worth billions to the global business. In 2021, McDonald’s debuted an exclusive new McCafé blend, roasted in Melbourne. The McCafé blend is sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms across Brazil, Honduras, Kenya and Ethiopia.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities:

Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia (RMHC) is an independent charity that helps over 46,000 seriously ill or injured children and their families each year.

The cornerstone Program of RMHC, the Ronald McDonald House, provides a ‘home away from home’ for families of seriously ill or injured children being treated at nearby hospitals. The Ronald McDonald Houses keep families close by giving parents and siblings the opportunity to stay together to support their sick loved ones. RMHC currently has 18 Ronald McDonald Houses throughout Australia and accommodated over 9,000 families in 2021.

Other Programs include the Ronald McDonald Family Room which provides a relaxing haven within hospitals giving families a break from the stress of many hours spent by their child’s bedside and the Ronald McDonald Learning Program which currently helps children catch up on missed schooling following a serious illness.  In 2021, over 950 students received tuition through the Ronald McDonald Learning Program.

Additionally, The Ronald McDonald Family Retreat provides families with seriously ill children a week’s free accommodation at one of five Ronald McDonald Family Retreats across Australia, enabling them to reconnect and enjoy a holiday when they most need it.
