GPX Racing Porsche team commits to IGTC in 2022

TOP Porsche outfit GPX Racing will contest the full Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli in 2022, which includes the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

The Dubai-based team won the IGCT category within the 2020 Spa 24 Hours race, finishing fourth outright with Aussie star Matt Campbell as one of the drivers.

The team confirmed their switch from GT World Challenge Europe to the four-round Intercontinental Series in a story published by noted Sports Car racing site,

“The plan is to compete in the Intercontinental GT Challenge with a Porsche 911 GT3 R,” GPX Racing Team Manager Pierre-Brice Mena told Endurance-Info.

“The objective is clearly to win the Drivers’ title. Going to IGTC is the wish of our partners in order to have even more international visibility.”

“With the IGTC, it is easier to take the races one after the other with, in addition, mythical races on the program such as Bathurst and Spa.”

The team currently features backing from iconic drinks brand, Martini
