Earl Bamber Motorsport and Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific are delighted to announce the team’s entry into the 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, with the squad set to field a competitive Pro line-up of Klaus Bachler, Laurin Heinrich and Ricardo Feller.

EBM returns to Mount Panorama Circuit for the 12-hour race for the first time since 2020. It’s been 6 years since that famous last-lap Matt Campbell pass, that secured them outright victory on debut in 2019.

Since forming in 2018, EBM has had a strong relationship with Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific. A regular in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, the team has supported young drivers in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Talent Pool while also fielding strong Pro-Am and Am entries, thus being represented in various classes in the championship.

Outside of One Make racing, the team has tackled global top level GT sport events in the Porsche 911 GT3 R such as GT World Challenge Asia, Spa 24 Hours, Macau Grand Prix, Suzuka 1000km and many more. EBM is also well-represented in Australia, competing in both Porsche Carrera Cup Australia and Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia.

The team’s 2019 debut victory was one of the most dramatic in Bathurst history, as Matt Campbell made a late, daring overtake in the Esses with just under 10 minutes to go to crown himself, Dirk Werner and Dennis Olsen as the winners.

Following the event, in a very special moment, the car was purchased by long-time Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and Porsche enthusiast Paul Tresidder, who was racing at the 2019 Bathurst 12 Hour in the Team Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 911 GT3 Cup.

Now, EBM is set to take on the mountain again in the Pro category with a competitive driver line-up. Bachler will be making his Bathurst debut, following a strong 2025 which saw him claim both the Asian Le Mans Series and 24H SERIES titles. Heinrich returns to Australia for his second attempt at the race, having taken a solid second-placed finish in the Pro-Am category in 2024. Feller is the most experienced of the three at Bathurst, appearing at every event since 2022 and qualifying second for the race last year.

The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour takes place from 13-15 February, and will feature the event’s unique sunrise-start, where the race begins in darkness before day breaks during the first hour of running.

Klaus Bachler, Earl Bamber Motorsport: “I’m really looking forward to making my debut at Bathurst with EBM. It’s always been on my wish list to race at Mount Panorama Circuit as the track looks fantastic and the atmosphere of the whole event is very special. I’ve shared the car with Laurin and Ricardo before so I’m excited to work with both again. EBM is a very experienced team who won this enduro back in 2019 so I can’t wait to hit the track with them in February.”

Laurin Heinrich, Earl Bamber Motorsport: “It’s great to return to Bathurst after my first appearance here in 2025 and this time in a Pro car makes it even more special. I’m pleased that I was able to gain lots of valuable experience during my debut. I know the team as I’ve worked with them during Thailand Super Series, which was very successful. I’m confident that the brilliant combination of Klaus and Ricardo alongside the team will deliver a strong performance on-track.”

Ricardo Feller, Earl Bamber Motorsport: “I’m looking forward to racing at Bathurst again as it’s definitely one of my favourite tracks. I’m very happy to be competing with EBM and sharing the car with Klaus and Laurin too. I think we’ll have a great chance and the goal is clear, we want to be fighting for the podium places.”

Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd.: “We’re pleased to work together with EBM on their return to the Bathurst 12 Hour. It’s a special event, a fantastic track and holds great memories for the team, considering its incredible victory there back in 2019, and for Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific. With Klaus, Laurin and Ricardo at the wheel, we believe EBM has a seriously strong line-up capable of fighting at the front. The Bathurst 12 Hour is the race that really kicks off the motorsport season in the Asia-Pacific region, so we can’t wait to get the weekend underway in February.”
