Campground FAQ’s

Are there powered sites available?
Powered Sites are not available, however there may be access to power pending the Event’s needs – contact Will Lesh for more information

When do campgrounds open and close?
Paddock opens 9am Thursday 03 February and closes 9am Monday 07 February 2011

Is there security in the campgrounds?
Yes, there will be security patrolling campgrounds, however you remain responsible for all your belonging.

Can I bring a caravan?
Yes, as long as it fits on a site approx. 10x8m

How big are the sites?
Approx 10x8m

How much are the campsites?
Paddock  $50 per site

Where do I get tickets from?
Ticketek – 13 28 49 or at the gate

Can I buy tickets on the day?
Yes

Can we arrive early?
No. Patrons will only be permitted onto the campground at the designated opening date due to insurance and OH and S reasons.

Can I bring a motorbike/Scooter?
No Motorbikes or motorized scooter/Eskies permitted
No unregistered vehicles permitted

Is alcohol allowed in the campground?
Yes, as long as it is not in a glass bottle

Is the Top of the Mountain open?
Not for camping, however patrons will be able to drive their vehicles to the Top of the Mountain during day light hours i.e. racing hours

Can I buy food at the Venue?
Yes, there are food vans and stalls at the Event

Am I allowed behind the Paddock/Pit Area?
Yes, and this Event does not have a Paddock pass therefore all ticketed patrons have unrestricted access to the Paddock behind the Pit Area

Can I take petrol into the campground?
A maximum of 5Litres is permitted in the campgrounds

Can I light a campfire?
Yes, but you must keep it contained and check with the site shed upon arrival to ensure no fire bans are in place

Are there amenities?

Yes, each campground has the sufficient amenities required

How do I access the Circuit and Campgrounds?
Only the Main Gate at Mt Panorama will be operational therefore there will be no access from either Boundary Road or Havannah Street

Where do I park my Car?
Patrons can park their car in the Campground however the car must be fully within the allocated campsite, otherwise an additional site must be purchased or the car parked in the general car park

Will they be secure?
We take no responsibility for theft or damage, however the car park is lit and security personnel roam the area

Will there be a shuttle bus running from the top of the mountain to the bottom?
Yes, from Harris Park during Racing for $5 return trip

What are the conditions of entry?
• You must comply with the terms and conditions appearing on your entry ticket
• You must comply with all signs, instructions and directions regulating this event
• You must comply with all directions from the Police, Security and Officials
• Alcohol in glass bottles are not permitted into the Event Venue
• No illegal substances are permitted into the Event Venue
• No fireworks or explosives are permitted into the Event Venue
• No weapons are permitted into the Event Venue
• No petrol canisters over a 5 Litre capacity are permitted into the Event Venue
• No animals are permitted into the Event Venue
• No platforms or anything that can be used to erect platforms is permitted into the Event Venue. Nothing that will obstruct the view of patrons is allowed to be constructed. The Event Organisers reserve the right to advise what is unacceptable.
• Failure to comply with these conditions may result in refusal of entry to or removal from the Event Venue
• The Event Organisers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim or demand suffered by any person(s) as a result (directly or indirectly) of non-compliance with these campground rules.

What are the Campground Rules
• Reasonable behaviour is expected at all times. The police and/or security will enforce eviction for disorderly conduct and other misbehaviour.
• The event organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to the Campgrounds to any person it deems unfit or inappropriate in its discretion
• If your vehicle and/or accommodation facilities exceed the campsite size you are required to purchase an additional site. A tow away service will be in operation for any vehicles that are not parked completely within the allotted campsite.
• Vehicles may only be used for entering and exiting the Campgrounds via the main gates
• Unregistered or un-roadworthy vehicles will not be admitted into the campground area
• Use of vehicles within the Campgrounds on undesignated roads or for unlawful/dangerous practices is strictly forbidden
• Identification wristbands for persons and stickers for vehicles issued by the applicable campsite office, must be clearly visible at all times
• All requests and directions regarding the above from the Event Organiser, Security and/or police must be adhered to at all times.
