Licensing – Competitors/Drivers (International & Australian) & Vehicle Logbooks
All Australian drivers will require as a minimum a full CAMS National Circuit Licence. The only exception to this ruling is that holders of a Clubman Circuit (CC) Licence are permitted to upgrade for a ‘single event’ in which a National Circuit (NC) licence has been nominated. Applications must be made for the Single Event upgrade through CAMS Member Services at least four (4) weeks prior to the 2011 Bathurst 12Hour given the timing of the Event.
All International entries including vehicles, drivers and competitors (entrants) will be required to be suitably licensed by the Australian ASN – Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS).
COMPETITORS (Entrant):
The owner of the vehicle entered for competition is the Competitor.
If a Competitor does not hold a CAMS Competitor Licence but does hold a foreign ASN competitor/driver licence they will be required to apply for a Foreign Participation Visa through CAMS to enter a vehicle for the Event (with the exception of New Zealand competitors who may enter a vehicle on their Motor Sport New Zealand competition licence with a valid Trans-Tasman Visa).
A Foreign Participation Visa application form can be downloaded from here.
DRIVERS:
All drivers will be required to hold as a minimum either a CAMS National Circuit (NC) licence, a Motor Sport New Zealand competition licence with a valid Trans-Tasman Visa OR hold a minimum of the highest grade National Licence issued by a foreign ASN with an authorisation issued by that ASN for the Event. Such drivers will be required to apply for a CAMS Foreign Participation Visa prior to the Event.
Drivers requiring a CAMS Foreign Participation Visa can download a form from here.
VEHICLES:
All competition vehicles will be required to hold a CAMS Vehicle Logbook. A vehicle logbook application form can be downloaded from here.
A group vehicle inspection for all international vehicles requiring a CAMS logook will be co-ordinated by the 12Hour Administrator. Further details regarding logbook inspections will be made available once entries have closed and final numbers are known.
